Lead Medical Receptionist Opportunity
(37 hrs per week Monday - Friday)
Do you have experience working in General Practice reception or a NHS background & are looking for a new challenge? We are currently looking to recruit a Lead Medical Receptionist to join our friendly, long established Practice.
Essentially, you’ll have great communication, IT and keyboard skills. You’re also able to explain sensitive or complicated information in a way that’s clear, sympathetic and easy to understand to both patients & the staff within your team. Ideally, you have experience of working in a Primary or Secondary Care reception environment with supervisory experience being preferred but not essential.
As a Lead Receptionist, you will have:
Excellent communication, organisational skills & attention to detail. These are essential attributes required to successfully fulfil this role. A positive attitude, ability to multi task & thrive within a fast paced environment is necessary.
This is an active role within the wider reception team which includes the additional Duties & Responsibilities as below;
- Direct supervisory responsibility for the Medical Reception team.
- Ensuring an efficient reception service is provided.
- Collate data and statistics for audit purposes e.g. triage figures, appointments available, urgent prescription requests etc.
- Coordinate reception team rotas (daily duties, annual leave, sickness, additional cover etc.).
- Expedite hospital results/queries
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure the department runs smoothly
- Workflow Optimisation of electronic documents
- Preparation & banking of Petty Cash
- Actioning of practice email accounts
- IT & communications support for the Practice Team
