Ellon Foodbank

A Foodbank will open in Ellon on the 30th May 2014.

As you will be aware, food poverty has been in the news a lot recently.  Due to welfare reforms and other issues, more and more people find themselves in crisis without basic food supplies, sometimes very suddenly. The foodbank is run by volunteers and will operate two mornings a week (Tuesdays and Fridays) from the Auchterellon Pavillion in Ellon. They can provide 3 days food for people in crisis.

To obtain a food parcel from the foodbank a person must be referred by a front-line care agency or organisation, who are able to give out vouchers which can be exchanged for a food parcel.

If you find yourself in need of food parcel vouchers these can be be obtained from:

Gordon Rural Action, Ellon Advice Bureau, Inverythan House, The Square, Ellon, AB41 9JB
