Your health, our priority: Stand with your Surgery. 2008 11% > 2025 6.5%. In 2008, the NHS spent around 11% of its whole budget on General Practice. Today, that figure is less than 6.5%. Your GP Surgery is struggling to meet demand: in Scotland General Practice provides 650,000 appointments every week, but many people still struggle to get one.

1 GP for every 1,515 patients in 2013. 1 GP for every 1,735 patients in 2025. There are not enough GPs to provide the level of access to General Practice that patients were previously able to benefit from. Your GP Surgery is struggling to meet demand: – less resource – fewer GPs – more patients – more conditions.
